Qualifications: Alice holds an honours degree in Economics and Management (Rhodes University), a Global Economic Governance certificate from the University of Pretoria and SAIIA (South African Institute of International Affairs) and a certificate in ETDP (Education Training Development Practices) from UNISA.

Experience summary: Alice’s corporate career started at Mittal Steel then Iscor, in the Corporate Affairs department. She then joined Unilever South Africa in the Supply Chain Department and has also had the opportunity to work for Engen and being seconded to PERTONAS Lubricants Africa Limited managing projects across the value chain whilst developing a financial tool that would enable the business to gain footprint across Africa. Alice currently consults for various companies in Procurement ad Supply Chain focusing on sustainability. Alice also has her small but booming honey business called Alice’s Honey.

Alice completed her COAL leadership programme with Psygro Consulting and thoroughly enjoyed the development journey that she has partnered with Psygro as an associate to expand and extend the network to ensure that it reaches everyone who wishes to enhance their leadership capabilities and those around them.

What kind of leader am I? I always want to see people succeed by realizing their full potential. Many people are capable of and have the capacity to do incredible things however they are fearful of stepping out into the unknown and trusting themselves to find the right footing. Leadership for me is allowing someone else achieve more than I have because I have given them the tools to do more than I was able to. Leadership is about setting an example that with all the twists and turns I can step out and be excellent even in the face of challenges. .”

Loves to…(in no particular order) Dance and sing with my husband and our kids, game drives – even if we repeat the same destination: we love nature and nature loves us, sprinting, watching action movies with my husband, watching Disney movies with our kids whilst eating sushi and seafood, teasing and joking around with each other and having a good laugh that comes from the belly accompanied by tears.
